Robot Vision Group is one of the five research groups in the National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The group is headed by Professor Z.Y. Hu. Nowadays the group has six faculty members,  fifteen Ph.D. students and eight M.S. students. 

Currently, the robot vision group carries out several research activities in seven main fields:

  • Camera Self-Calibration and 3D Reconstruction  

  • Geometric Primitive Extraction

  • Active Vision, especially Selective Attention and Next Look Problem

  • Image Retrieval Through 3D Features

  • Vision Guided Robot Navigation System, especially Robot Self-Location

  • Image Based Modeling and Rendering

  • Automatic Quasars and Galaxies Spectra Classification and Recognition
