Welcome to my academic webpage! I am an Assistant Professor at Prof. Changsheng Xu's Multimedia Computing (MMC) group. My research interests include social media analysis, multimedia retrieval and data mining. My recent works mainly focus on collective recommendation and search in social media, by combining social network analysis, computer vision and machine learning techniques to achieve complete user modeling as well as total media content understanding.

I graduated with my Ph.D. from Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASIA), under the supervision of Prof. Changsheng Xu. I have also worked with Prof. Stan Z. Li on Face Recognition and video surveillance from 2007 to 2009 at CBSR, and Dr. Tao Mei on social media and mobile application at 2011 when interned at MSRA.
